The 29 Podcast is coming soon.
Time is central to everyday life. We struggle to get by, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. We set our alarms to wake up at a certain time. We precisely calculate our morning routines so that we are out of the house at a certain time and calculate our travel time to get to work on time. While at work, we eagerly await break time, despair at back to work time, complain about the fleeting nature of lunch time, and long for quitting time. Time is money, so we leap at the opportunity for overtime. Sometimes, our time at work interferes with family time, so we carefully calculate vacation time. We are told to spend our time wisely, as we only have a limited amount of time before the unpredictable moment of death. What is a moment anyway?
I write this on the eve of my 29th birthday, March 29th, 2016. This is an exploration of what is means to be 29, of leaving ones 20s and entering ones 30s–if it means anything at all. This is an exploration of the perception of time and its effect on our lives. For the next 52 weeks, this is the documentation of the thoughts, feelings, and experiences of someone trying to reach an understanding of it all. This is the 29 Podcast.1aa
